Join us for an introduction to our other advocate organizations
who have been working with us.
Judy Sherry and Margaret Heldring, President and Co-Chair,
respectively, join us to speak about their organizations,
Grandparents for Gun Safety in Kansas/Missouri and
Grandparents Against Gun Violence in Washington state.
All organizations are excited about this opportunity to get
to know each other better as Grandparents for Gun Safety
hosts this event.
We will learn the origins of all organizations, their focus,
their structures and their successes,
as well as meet some Board members.
We hope to be joined by KU journalism student Paul Samberg,
whose younger brother survived the Sandy Hook shooting.
We hope to hear him discuss how his brother is doing
plus how he and the rest of his family
have dealt with the trauma over the years.

Recent rising numbers in gun violence are showing us that we all
need to leverage our strengths and reach out to new audiences to
amplify the message of gun safety and gun violence prevention.
We hope to be doing that in the future with all our networks.
