Preview of the 2021 – 2022 Legislative Session

Please join us for a Grandmothers Zoom Meeting as Jen Muroff gives a brief wrap up of the 2020 Legislative Session and tells us what to expect from the upcoming session.

Jennifer Muroff is the Legislative Action Committee Co-Chair and a board member of the Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence—a coalition of 100+ member organizations working to eradicate all forms of gun violence throughout the Commonwealth.

She is also a Legislative Specialist with the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, advocating for state laws related to gun violence prevention, immigrants’ rights, and most recently, police reform and accountability. Recent legislative campaigns include ERPO (Extreme Risk Protection Order), Automatic Voter Registration, Yes on 3 Transgender Rights Ballot Question, the Safe Communities Act, Driving Families Forward, and more.

Jennifer, a board member of the League of Women Voters of Needham, hosts local, state and federal officials as their Legislative Envoy. In her role, she has helped incarcerated people from the Norfolk County House of Corrections vote. Jennifer was a founding member of the Temple Shalom Tzedek Social Justice Committee. When Jennifer isn’t championing human rights for all, she is driving her two teen sons to sports practices and games.
