The visual you see here involved a cast of hundreds and months of work.
It was masterminded by artist JR.
Time Magazine called it "one of the most logistically challenging
cover projects in Time's 95 year history."
It is a fully interactive discussion of gun violence.
Traveling to St. Louis, MO, Washington, DC, and Dallas, TX, the teams recorded over 245 people. The participants included gunshot victims, gun owners and enthusiasts, emergency room doctors, activists with opposite points of view, and policy makers responsible for finding solutions. JR, the artist of the piece, said, "The power of art is to create conversation. Those conversations might help change the perception we have about a subject. This is how we change the world, by bringing back this conversation." |
