Former Senator Dan Wolf Makes a Return Appearance

Dan Wolf founded Cape Air in 1989. Today, Cape Air, along with sister airline, Nantucket Airlines, is the largest commuter airline in the United States. Cape Air/ Nantucket Airlines is a partly employee-owned company with a workforce of approximately 750 and serves more than half a million passengers a year. Cape Air has received recognition for being one of the most philanthropic companies in Massachusetts.
Dan Wolf

Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Philosophy from Wesleyan University. At the Quaker School of Aeronautics, he received a degree in Airframe and Power Plant Maintenance, followed by work as a community and union organizer in the Boston area. At the Chatham Municipal Airport, he worked as a flight instructor and mechanic. He flies as a pilot for Cape Air when his schedule permits.

As a business and community leader, Dan has served in many important non-profit and civic organizations. A few are President of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, and the Federal Reserve's Bank Board of Advisors. He currently serves on the boards of Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, the Center for Coastal Studies, and the Alliance for Business Leadership.

Dan was elected in 2010, 2012, and 2014 to represent Cape Cod and the Islands in the MA State Senate, where he served from 2011 to 2016. Each term he was appointed as the Senate Chair on the Committee of Labor and Workforce Development focusing on legislation around labor, workplace safety and development. Dan has joined policy conversations at the White House, spoken at the Brookings Institution in DC on campaign finance reform and at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Maryland.

Dan resides with his wife, Heidi Schuetz, in Harwich, Massachusetts. He enjoys a morning bike ride daily and traveling to visit three grown daughters.
