As part of our mission statement, we support any legislation that can reduce or lessen the impact of gun violence.

We will be writing postcards to our legislators and committees on these bills, depending on the stage the bills are in at the time of the meeting.

  • H.2437/S.1562 An Act Relative to Crime Gun Data Reporting and Analysis (Decker/Creem)
    Establishes a formal mechanism to require the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) to supply data to a local university researcher for analysis. and determine how and where crime guns originate and what MA can do to stem the tide of illegal gun.
  • H.2491/S.1540 An Act Relative to 3D Printed Weapons and Ghost guns (Linsky/Barrett)
    Classifies 3D printed guns and ghost guns or untraceable firearms without serial numbers as illegal.
  • H.2519/S.1552 An Act to Create Alternatives for Community Education Services [ACES] (Sabadosa/Chang-Diaz)
    Grant program administered by Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to establish non-law-enforcement, unarmed, community-based response options for calls to 911. It is geared toward the most over-policed communities: Boston, Brockton, New Bedford, Worcester, Springfield, Lowell, and others.
